Michael Myers 'Halloween' Films Ranked

Image
Now that the new Halloween has been released, I decided to make a ranking of the best Halloween films. Now remember, this is my top list, not yours. Projecting your anger at me will get you my sarcasm and laughs. *Halloween III: Season of the Witch is NOT included bevause it isn't a Michael Myers film. Duh. 10. Halloween Ressurection Damn right. This one is last. We find a psychotic Laurie who's living in an insane asylum, she creepily kisses her brother, Michael Myers, and dies. Then we get a plot of the times as Busta Buss and Tyra Banks set up a webcam reality show in the old Myers home. Horrible mask, horrible acting, horrible money grab. 9. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers As the new plotline thickens, we see more of the cult Michael Myers belongs to. This movie is okay, but the cult thing is just...no. And the mask? A little more creepier, but still looks like crap. 8. Halloween H20 20 years later since the original...time for a money ...

2 Movies You Must Watch On Halloween

Image
To ensure a wonderful and horror film filled Halloween, there are two movies you just have to watch. If your busy with the kids--trick-or-treating, or getting your monster mash on, you probably can't have an awesome marathon. No worries! These are the two films you need to fit in your Halloween day/night: Trick r Treat Trick r Treat is probably the best Halloween movie ever. I mean, yes, Michael Myers is Halloween, but Trick r Treat is all about the holiday, the lore, traditions, gore, and everything spooky and fun about Halloween. And Sam is the cutest little killer ever. Halloween (1978) The immortal classic. Yes. John Carpenter's Halloween. Halloween is the equivalent of A Christmas Story on Christmas; you have to watch Halloween.  Which movies will you be watching? These ones? Comment below!

About the Creepy Stories from 'The Halloween Special' Anthology

Image
I recently released my second book, and second horror anthology:  The Halloween Special . Although each of the   10 stories   are different, they all stem from an ancient deity who was summoned in the early hours of Halloween. And as of now, the  paperback  and  eBook  are BOTH on sale. And if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for FREE! Here are the stories: The Scarecrow  – Three young witches summon an ancient and evil deity in the early hours of Halloween. The deity, entombed in a scarecrow, completely destroys the veil between the dead and the living, and all hell breaks loose, causing a domino effect of things to come. Clowns  – When two bullies give chase to victims of their cruelty, they get lost in the woods and stumble upon a carnival behind the fog. The clowns inhabiting the carnival seem to be normal…at first. Mister Razor  – When a girl becomes the victim of harsh bullying and a picture leak at her sch...

The Ritual (2017) is Packed with Creepy and WTF Moments

Image
🎃🎃🎃🎃 out of 5 The Ritual (2017) Directed by David Bruckner Written by Joe Barton Starring Rafe Spall, Sam Troughton, Arsher Ali, & Robert James-Collier The Ritual is a 2017 horror film based on the novel of the same name by Adam Nevill. The movie follows four college friends who take a trip to the wilderness and soon become stalked by an evil presence. I read the book back in 2014 and enjoyed it. However, I didn't really dig the ending, but the movie's ending is much more to my liking. This movie is full of emotion, great acting, good writing, beautifully shot scenes, and tons of WTF moments. Hop on to Netflix and give this movie a good watching. It is creepy and very fresh.

About My Story "The Scarecrow" From The Halloween Special

Image
The Scarecrow - This story is basically the foundation and the backbone of my book, The Halloween Special .  Three young witches summon an ancient and evil deity in the early hours of Halloween, resulting in the diminishing of the veil between the living and the spirit world. The spirit uses a scarecrow stuffed with dead autumn leaves, candy corn, and a human skeleton. And he also has a hook for a hand. My book is on sale! Paperback and ebook! Prices are in effect until November 1st.

Halloween (2018) is...Good (Spoiler Free Review)

Image
🎃🎃🎃.5 out of 5 Halloween (2018) Directed by David Gordon Green Written by Jeff Fradley, David Gordon Green, & Danny McBride. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak I have been anticipating Halloween since they (Blumhouse) has first announced they were going to start the project back around 2016, so I was expecting something great. Halloween wasn't bad, it just wasn't...great. For a movie ignoring all sequels, continuing from the very first one, with Jamie Lee Curtis on board as Laurie Strode, John Carpenter composing (along with his son and God son), Nick Castle making an appearance, and Blumhouse behind it, I thought it was going to be the Halloween movie. Like, I even thought it was going to out-do the first movie. Unfortunately, I was left unsatisfied. Don't get me wrong, Halloween had very good acting, it was beautifully shot, it had a heavy Halloween season atmosphere, Michael Myers was great and the mask was extreme...

Rob Zombie Made Halloween Scary Again

Image
With the new Halloween coming out, and people talking all things Halloween and Michael Myers, I keep seeing a pattern here. For whatever reason, Rob Zombie's Halloween films are treated badly as if they're Halloween: Ressurection. People are upset and crying and saying "The only reason they're making a new Halloween is because Rob Zombie messed it all up" and blah, blah, blah. Totally not true. If anything Rob Zombie brought Halloween back on the map, back on track, back to interest, he made it hit big at the box office, and he made Michael Myers scary again. After the first two films and a third one that was to start an anthology but failed without a Michael Myers, Michael Myers wasn't that scary anymore, especially in 4 and 5. The masks got ugly, he was less intimidating, and the origin became lost in this cult thing that did not need to be. Michael was okay in part 6, sucked in H20 , and sucked more in Ressurection . The cult thing was toss...

Read an Excerpt of First Day on the Job by E. Reyes from The Halloween Special

Image
"First Day on the Job" (Excerpt) By E. Reyes Appears on E. Reyes's new horror anthology: The Halloween Special 1 A black Chevelle came to a screeching halt outside of a home on the south side of Devil's Hill. The motor was running, sounding like a beast was breathing heavily under its hood. The windows were down. The driver was enjoying the crisp autumn air as the music pouring out was poisoning its comfortable ambience. Jack Forest was playing “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails on full-blast. Jack opened the squeaking driver’s door. He reached for the keys to shut the engine off, but what for? This job was going to be quick; might as well let the beast be idle until he returned. He got out of the car, examined the neighborhood—no one in sight, only mediocre houses with Halloween decorations. Jack took one last drag of the cigarette between his lips and blew the smoke out quickly. He flicked the butt and it landed on a pile of dog crap that lay dormant by a ...

Pet Sematary (2019) Trailer Tomorrow!

Image
Paramount released the official poster for Pet Sematary today, and now tomorrow, we get to see the very first trailer for Kevin Kölsch and David Widmyer's Pet Sematary! In my opinion, Pet Sematary is King's scariest book. And it is my favorite novel of his. So you know I'll be waiting for the trailer, so make sure you stop here on Halloween Eddie to watch it!

Official Poster for the New Adaption of Stephen King's Pet Sematary

Image
Here it is folks! The official poster of the new adaption of Stephen King's Pet Sematary! I am incredibly excited about this movie. The directors, Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, have expressed that they are sticking relatively close to the horrifying novel written by Stephen King. If you had any doubts about that, take a look at the Benguiat font for the title on the poster that was used on many earlier King novels. Pet Sematary is set to release in April 2019.
